The Drumshanbo Gunpowder Gin – Sardinian Citrus is a singular edition of the famous Irish gin, born from the imagination of PJ Rigney, the brand’s visionary founder, and his travels around the world.
Inspired by the mythical Jackalope creature, this gin pays tribute to the meeting of Eastern flavours and the botanical treasures of the Mediterranean. It was during a journey along the 41st parallel north that PJ discovered, in the heart of the village of Siniscola, Sardinia, a citrus fruit as rare as it is exceptional: Citrus Mostruosa. This native citrus fruit, powerful and complex, offers tangy, intense and wild notes that pair perfectly with the freshness of Gunpowder tea, a hallmark of the original recipe.
The result: a refined, vibrant and balanced gin, at once floral, spicy and zesty, ideal neat or in a gin and tonic with a dry tonic water and a citrus twist.
