The Bitter Spoon | Silver by Lumian is an iconic accessory for absinthe tasting. Inspired by traditional 19th-century spoons, it brings a touch of elegance and authenticity to this legendary ritual. Made of stainless steel with a silver finish, this flat, perforated spoon is as functional as it is aesthetic.
Designed to rest perfectly flat on the edge of an absinthe glass, the spoon allows you to place a zolletta (sugar cube) directly over the drink. You then slowly pour ice-cold water over the sugar. The water, filtered through the perforations, gradually mixes with the absinthe, revealing the famous whitish opalescence: the louche.
