Tips to Optimize the Performance of the Alinia
Installation and Preparation:
- Water connection: Make sure the water supply and drainage system are located no more than 1 metre from the machine.
- Filter installation: We strongly recommend installing a descaling and purification pre-filter. The recommended filter type is a system such as Brita, which filters out impurities while maintaining suitable water quality.
Water Quality:
The quality of the water used is a key factor in ensuring high-quality ice production. Even though some establishments use sophisticated equipment such as reverse osmosis, the Alinia is designed to work with standard filtration systems. Here are the optimal water specifications:
- Filtration: Water filtered through a reverse osmosis system remineralised with calcium and magnesium.
- Water hardness (PH9): 55 ppm
- Conductivity: 43 µS/cm
Usage Tips:
- Ice Storage: To keep the ice clean and odour-free, store it under optimal conditions in the freezer. Vacuum-seal it or store it in bags to preserve its quality and prevent it from absorbing unpleasant odours.
